Attended Alfred in 1951 & 1954

Worked at Glidden Pottery as a designer and glaze developer.
1958 he was made Assistant Curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and worked ther until 1983. Most of this time, he was the Curator of the Far Eastern Dept.
